Rule of E-Pass Module of Railways Employees
Gazetted officers get six rail passes in a year, and three rail passes after retiring. Through this pass, they and their dependents can travel free of cost. Non-gazetted employees get three passes in a year and two passes a year after retirement. Railway personnel also receive four PTO, i.e. Privilege Ticket Order. They have to pay a one-third fare to travel through the PTO.
This facility will help the railway employees to use the rail passes easily and at the same time will facilitate the work of issuing passes to all the officials. The HRMS project is a comprehensive plan for the digitization of the complete human resource process of Indian Railways. A total of 21 modules are planned in HRMS. The basic data entry of about 97 per cent of the railway employees and its e-service records have been fed into it.
