The new Vande Bharat Sleeper train is set to be released on November 1, 2026, from Bengaluru. It is the second sleeper service to come on track after the success of the Howrah-Kamakhya route.
The launch will cut travel time between Bengaluru and Mumbai by 8 hours. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw gave approval a long time ago. This launch will increase options on the Bengaluru Mumbai train route.
Vande Bharat Express Bangalore to Mumbai From Nov 1, 2026
After a long wait, the Bengaluru to Mumbai route will get another service from the first of November. The new addition will improve the travel experience with on-board services and timings. Vande Bharat Sleeper trains are on the line to improve railway services and travel comfort.
Mumbai to Bangalore train Vande Bharat Express will provide overnight journeys with 16 hours of expected travel time. The service will run between Bengaluru and Mumbai 6 days a week. So, passengers can check trains between stations and plan the journey post-launch.

The new sleeper service will come with train numbers 27651 and 27652. Since the proposal is to run the service 6 days a week, passengers need to wait for official notification. However, the train is expected to run with 16 coaches that accommodate 823 berths in total.
