No accidents had occurred April 1 2019 to February 24, 2020.
By issuing a press release, the Railways have said that no passenger was killed in railway accidents between April 1, 2019 and February 24, 2020. The main reason behind this is due to the many steps taken by the Railways. Measures taken to improve safety include large-scale conversion of railway tracks, maintenance of tracks in an effective manner, strict monitoring of safety aspects, improvement in training of railway employees, building mega blocks for maintenance, use of modern machines, ending unmanned crossings, repairing railway signaling systems etc. Significantly, the railway accident involves incidents like train collision, derailment, fire. Railways have claimed that LBH coaches are being replaced instead of ICF coaches, due to which the safety standards have increased. At the same time unmanned level crossing gates on major lines have been completely eliminated, resulting in accidents and speeding up the safe operation of trains.

No accidents occurred due to railway safety fund
According to the Railways, all this improvement has been recorded due to the Railway Safety Fund which was created in the year 2017-18. An amount of one lakh crore was separated so that the proper development and safety of the railway can be ensured. This amount of one lakh crore rupees will be spent in the next five years. With this amount it became possible to undertake important security operations of essential nature and the results are clear.

This is to let you know that in the last one year, the central government has taken many steps regarding railways and along with rejuvenating trains one after the other, they have also started new trains. This has not only made the travel experiences of travelers fun loving and memorable but has also made it safer.
