On Saturday 28th March 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Emergency Situation Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) to counter the novel coronavirus pandemic. As per the guidelines on the issue, no commission will be paid to the nationalized banks for the preparation of proposals supporting the PMNRF. - If you don’t want to donate digitally, then you also have the option to make the payment offline. - Contributions can also be sent through Money Orders with no commission chargeable.
- Contributions to the PMNRF have been notified for 100% deduction from taxable income under section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act.
