Central Railway Will Run Additional Trains for North India
Central Railways will run special trains from June 1 as decided by the Ministry of Railways. These special trains will be in addition to the existing Shramik Special trains running from May 1 and Special AC trains running from May 12, 2020. Railways have also issued important guidelines for travelling on these trains, which will be compulsory for all passengers to follow.
Reservation Process for Special Trains
Booking for all special trains is already open online through the IRCTC website and its mobile app following the maximum 30 days ARP (advance reservation period). Tickets can also be booked at the reservation counters at select railway stations. The booking of tickets through ‘agents’, both IRCTC agents and railway agents, has also been allowed.
Guidelines of Fare in Coach Classes in Special Trains
These special trains will be of both AC and non-AC classes and fully reserved. There will also be a reserved seat in a general second class (GS) coach. The fare will be charged as normal. For general second class (GS) coaches a second seating (2S) fare will be charged and reserved seats will be provided to all passengers. The RAC and the waiting list will be issued as per the existing rules, although the ticket holders of the waiting list will not be allowed to board the train.
