Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express: A Devotional Treat by Railways on Navratri 2019
Indian Railways had continuously tried to make the passenger’s journey comfortable during heavy rush of festivals. It is the second “Train 18” launched by the Indian Government. While presenting this gift to the passengers, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said “I am extremely happy to inform that the trial run of second “Make in India” Vande Bharat” express train from New Delhi to Katra, the shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi, has been completed.” According to IRCTC, Navratri special food will also be available to the passengers during journey. Pilgrims can enjoy the Saatvik delightful food in train served by IRCTC on track.
About Vande Bharat Express:
Vande Bharat is popular as “TRAIN 18” which is a semi-high speed train, firstly started between the capital city of India, New Delhi to the spiritual capital of India, Varanasi. Recently, Indian Railways has launched its second Vande Bharat service between New Delhi to the abode of Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra. During the trial, the train has recorded the speed of 180 km/hour. For Mata Vaishno Devi followers, the new Vande Bharat express means a faster and more suitable mode of transport.
This is an amazing luxury for the devotees as it takes only 8 hours to reach the Mata’s shrine from current 12 hours journey. According to the tentative schedule of the railway ministry, the expected fare of the Delhi-Katra route will be INR 1,600 and the fair price for the executive chair car will be around INR 3,000.
The train is equipped with several modern features which includes automatic doors, GPS based audio-visual passenger information system, bio-toilets, hotspot Wi-Fi internet, LED lighting and others. There are total of 16 coaches with 1,128 seats for the travellers. Train has two coaches of executive chair car having 104 seats. The train has provided pantry car with more space and special care.
The best part to have the journey in Vande Bharat is its timing and luxury. The train will depart from Delhi at 6:00 am and reach Katra at 2:00 pm. The train will return at the same day and it will leave Katra at 3:00 pm.
