Hubballi Rail Museum Inaugurated In Karnataka, Know the Full Details
A new rail museum is ready at Hubballi in Karnataka, which was inaugurated yesterday for the visitors. Through this museum, people will be introduced to the glorious history and development of railways.
Rail News: Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal dedicated Hubballi Rail Museum in Karnataka to the Nation yesterday. This Rail Museum is the first of its kind in North Karnataka and second in South Western Railway after the historic Mysore Rail Museum. The main objective of establishing this Museum on behalf of Indian Railways is to make people aware of the glorious history of the railways. Through this Museum, Indian Railways will tell people how the railway stations used to be earlier and how they have changed over time.

Hubballi Rail Museum is Located near Hubballi Railway Station
This railway museum is located on National Highway-67 near the Hubballi railway station. People passing through this route can stop here and enjoy the railway museum. Karnataka has become the fourth state in the country where two or more railway museums exist. This Museum will have interesting information related to the railways for the common people.
Piyush Goyal said Railways Have Gone through Significant Transformations
Railways Minister Piyush Goyal said that Railways has an emotional connect with all of us. Indian Railways has played an essential role in our lives and has been witness to our journeys of experience in different phases. Mr Goyal quoted Mahatma Gandhi and said that Gandhi Ji also preferred to understand India through trains. He said Railways have itself gone through significant transformations. Story of the evolution of Railways from the steam era to modern bullet trains era is genuinely remarkable. The Museum is a monument of tribute to that extraordinary change.

• Normal days timings will be of 12 noon to 7 PM

Given precautions to be taken amid Corona pandemic, entry for visitors to the museum is restricted to only 30 members at a time. All the visitors are requested to sanitize their hands frequently using sanitizer dispensers provided in the rail museum. All visitors are also advised to compulsorily wear a face mask and maintain social distancing in the museum. According to Railways officials, the theatre coach will remain closed until complete relaxation from the lockdown and return of normalcy.
