Indian Railways Will Start Virtual Tour of Rail Museum in the COVID-19 Pandemic Era

Rail News: Now, you can soon visit the Rail Museum on your mobile from home. The railway administration is making arrangements to start the virtual tours of rail museum online for the convenience of the general public, especially the youth. Soon heritage links of the Northeast Railways will be added on Facebook and Twitter displaying the attraction of the museums, parks and coaches.
Actually, because of the COVID-19 situation, the Northeast Railway is preparing a virtual tour of the Gorakhpur Rail Museum located in the railway headquarters, Gorakhpur.

Virtual Tour of Rail museum will Be Made in Two Parts
According to Chief Public Relations Officer, Pankaj Kumar Singh, the video of the entire museum is being prepared under the Virtual Tour Program. Each point of the museum is covered in the virtual tour so that the people can view the full premises. The virtual tour program is available in two parts – One part will be as an image, and the other will be as a video. Each section will be of 12 to 14 minutes.

Image Tour of Rail Museum
A 360-degree panoramic view of the rail museum will be shown under the image tour. There will be different tags for the ticket office, toy train, museum building, AC coach restaurant, Maharaja express coach, playground and various materials displayed in the museum. Clicking on any tag will open a particular area. If the label of multiple elements presented in the museum is clicked, then under it the picture of all the essential features, complete history and details regarding its importance will be available. Similarly, clicking on different tags will provide detailed information on different items in pictorial form.
Video Tour of Rail Museum
A series of one-to-one travel from the ticket office to the toy train, museum building, AC coach restaurant, Maharaja Express coach, playground and various materials displayed in the museum will be done sequentially through the video virtual tour of rail museum. All information about each venue will be available with a pre-recorded voice through the sound system in the tour.
Many delightful scenes, including the exciting journey of the toy train, will be presented by a moving film, which will be a unique experience in itself. The video will be 12 to 14 minutes long, which can also be viewed in different small parts.
