First Bidding Conference for Private Trains in India to be held on July 21
Indian Railways is going to arrange the first bidding conference for Private trains In India on July 21 for the selection of Private Entities in Indian Railways. Railways officials said that the railways would finalise the companies by November 8.
Rail News: Private companies will now have partnerships in the Indian Railways. Permission has been given to run 109 private passenger trains on 109 routes. Now the government is going to take the first step for the privatisation of Railways. The first step behind the selection of Private parties for the operation of private trains in India is going to happen now. Indian Railways will start the bidding process for privatisation of Railways on July 21.

30,000 Crores of rupees will be invested
According to an estimate, investment of about 30,000 Crores is expected to come from private companies. The ministry has demanded a request for clarification from the companies. The privatisation of passenger trains running on 109 routes will run at a speed of 160 km per hour, and there will be at least 16 coaches.
The companies will be announced on November 8
According to the Railway Ministry, the first pre-bid conference will be held on July 21 on the private train project. This bid will be followed by a second pre-bid conference on August 12. Private companies can apply by September 8, while the railways will finalise the companies by shortlisting them by November 8, after which shortlisted companies will participate in the bid.
Private companies will bear the entire expenses
Under this project, the total cost of operating the railways (rolling stock and maintenance) will have to be carried by private companies. Only the driver and guard will be provided by Railways. In this 35-year contract, the private parties will have to pay energy and haulage charges according to consumption.
Construction of railways to be done under ‘Make in India’
All the trains that will be operating for this 35-year project will be built under ‘Make in India’ Initiative. Its concession period can be 35 years. Gross revenue will be distributed in the form of earnings.

New opportunities will be created through privatisation. The investment will not come only in railways, but new opportunities will also arise. Railways are planning to bring modern technology through the privatisation. Apart from this, the maintenance burden of the railway will be reduced, people will have more confidence regarding safety, transit time will also decrease, and people will also get world-class travel facilities.
