Why These Trains Are Important
Navratri always puts a huge load on trains in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Regular services often run packed, making travel difficult for ordinary passengers. By introducing these unreserved specials, Railways hopes to:
- Provide a convenient means of transport for Navratri passengers
- Offer a cheaper alternative to other travel methods like Flights and Cars.
- Give a travel option to those who couldn’t book tickets due to festive rush.
This step is expected to benefit travellers from Vindhyachal, Patna, Prayagraj and Lucknow. These are among the busiest train routes during the Navratri festivities.
