Indian Railways Has Changed the Rule of Tatkal Ticket Booking

In the growing cases of Corona crisis, passengers travelling from one state to another will now have to give more information besides the address in the reservation ticket form. From June 29, the railway is going to introduce the facility of Tatkal tickets to passengers. During the coronavirus pandemic, the rules have been changed by the Railways. In such a situation, passengers will have to fill the same mobile number on the form while booking the ticket with which they will travel. Railways have already started their preparations.

Tatkal Ticket Booking Will Start in 200 Passenger Trains

Tatkal ticket booking facility is going to start in 200 passenger trains from June 29. Railways have also changed the rules for Tatkal tickets along with the general ticket booking in trains. With the resumption of railway reservation service 120 days before May 31, the booking of Tatkal tickets was also announced. Now passengers will be able to book Tatkal tickets on the train from June 29. Along with this, there will also be newly changed rules of Tatkal ticket booking.

Providing Mobile Number has Been Mandatory during Travel

While filling the form, the traveller will have to give his full address, house number, street, colony and tehsil along with his identity card to book the ticket. At the time of booking the ticket, the mobile number will also need to be given by those who are carrying the ticket along with them at the time of travel. Railways have also started their preparations. Instructions have also been given regarding this.

 

Software Updated in Reservation Process

Railways have made changes in its software. The effect of this will also be seen in the reservation process at the station. This will not take much time for the booking. Information of the traveller’s form can be easily checked. To book Tatkal tickets, the passenger has to provide his/her identity card and fill a form given by the Railways.

 

Passengers Can Fill the Form in Just 70 Seconds

According to the Railways, the form to be filled for booking Tatkal tickets will be simple. It can be easily filled in 70 seconds. With this, the booking of tickets will also get done sooner. Also, extra time will not be wasted in matching the details of the passengers.
