Railways ask Employees to Donate one day Payout to PM Relief Fund

Railways fight against Coronavirus is appreciated throughout India. Right from its early stage to deadly stage; it has been announcing several updates to provide relief to Indians from the COVID-19 viral attack. From the regular supply of essential commodities to converting train coaches into on-wheel hospital,every step is commendable. The national transport giant along with its workforce is present 24*7 into the service for public welfare. Yesterday, one of the crucial decisions taken by the Railways was regarding donation to Prime Minister Relief Fund.

The Indian Railway Board has appealed its employees to donate their one-day salary to the Prime Minister Relief Fund. Railways has asked everyone to support the government efforts in the war against Corona pandemic. The Railway board has directed all general managers to appeal to the employees of their respective zones for corona pandemic donation. The board official said in its letter, “An appeal should be made to each one of Railway servants to generously contribute to PMNRF by donating at least one day’s basic pay towards this cause.”

The Railway board also said that “the coronavirus is the country’s worst and most unprecedented disaster”. Everyone should come forward to help in the war against it and whoever wants to donate voluntarily should take one day’s salary from their payout. This philanthropy will save millions of lives. Also, IRCTC, the subsdiary has announced to distribute free meals to the homeless during COVID-19 lockdown.

The number of corona virus patients in the country has gone beyond 900. Twenty people couldn’t survive from this pandemic and died so far. One person has died due to corona in Kerala. Let us inform you that not a single person was killed in Kerala because of Coronavirus attack. At the same time, an FIR has also been registered against a journalist in Madhya Pradesh. He came to attend the press conference of CM of Kamal Nath. The journalist’s daughter had returned from London, who had been asked to remain quarantine. Despite this, the journalist ignored the rules. Both the journalist and his daughter were later found to be Corona positive. Due to this, now former CM Kamal Nath is also under quarantine. Celebrities are not far behind. The famous Baby doll Singer “Kanika Kapoor” was found corona positive due to negligence of principles of quarantine.

Indian Railways helpline can be used for Corona COVID-19 Pandemic Queries
Passenger train services are closed across the country because of Corona lockdown. If you want to get the latest information or updates related to the Railways, you can do so. Indian Railways has started a special service for 24 hours 7 days. It has opened Railway Board Control Cell for communication between Railway Administration and common people. Through social media, this service will be available day and night. Director level officers will be connected to the Railway Board Control Cell, who will be responsible for monitoring the calls on numbers 138 and 139 associated with this service.

Through this special system of Indian Railways i.e. Railway Board Control Cell, any common man can get the latest information related to the railways or corona issues. For this, the helpline numbers are 138 and 139. You can update your information by calling on these numbers. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has shared information about this on micro-blogging site Twitter. He said that the aim of this effort is to establish communication between the railway administration and the common people.

It has been said that this service will be available day and night through social media. Director level officers will be connected to the Railway Board Control Cell, who will be responsible for monitoring the calls on numbers 138 and 139 associated with this service. Apart from this, this officer will also keep a close watch on the trend going on social media especially Twitter.
