Indian Railways Will Deploy Isolation Coaches at Patna Junction for COVID-19

Looking at the number of corona patients in Patna, the district administration, health department, and Indian Railways team have agreed to treat the patients in the isolation coaches at Patna junction after inspecting the junction area.

 

The number of corona patients in the entire state, including the capital Patna, is increasing tremendously. Keeping in mind the increasing infection of Corona, now the isolation coaches of trains will be used in Patna. Necessary preparations from the railways continued till late night at Patna Junction on Wednesday. COVID-19 isolation coaches may start from Thursday. Two rakes with isolation coaches will stand on the platform number 6 number and 7 of Patna Junction. A total of 40 isolation coaches have been placed on the two lines.

 

Railway Administration Has Completed All the Essential Preparation

On the instructions of Danapur DRM, Dr Nilesh Kumar, the director of Patna Junction, informed the health department and the district administration team about all the arrangements. Infected patients and doctors and nursing staff will enter from gate number six. Even railwaymen will not be able to come through this route. On Wednesday, all preparations were completed along with sanitizing this route.

Isolation Coaches Placed on Two Platforms

The number of corona patients in the capital is increasing every day. Because of the increasing number of patients, the district administration has decided to take patients in the isolation coaches of the railway. For this, the district administration and railway administration have made full preparations at Patna Junction on Wednesday. On platform number six and seven of the junction, 20 isolation coaches have been deployed. Patients sent by the administration will be shifted in the isolation coaches for their treatment. 640 patients can be admitted here.

Lockdown Imposed in Patna for Seven Days

In a week in Patna district, the number of people infected with Corona has more than doubled. After finding COVID-19 affected in Dehpali, and Paliganj, there was a massive increase in the Corona infected patients in Patna city as well as in all other areas of Patna. More than 100 COVID-19 infected people started coming into hospitals every day. There was an uncontrolled situation, due to which District Collector Kumar Ravi had no choice but to put a lockdown to prevent the spread of corona infection in Patna district. Instructions were given on Wednesday.

Rajesh Kumar, CPRO, East Central Railway, said that the district administration had demanded a COVID Care Coach of the railway. Isolation wards have also been made in Danapur Rail Hospital and Central Hospital. ICU has also been arranged.
