What is LHB coach in train
LHB coaches pack advanced safety features and deliver multiple upgrades that improve the travel experience. They use anti-climbing devices, fire-retardant materials, and can run at 160 kmph, with designs that support speeds up to 200 kmph. In contrast, older ICF coaches operate only up to about 140 kmph.
The difference between LHB and ICF coaches
LHB coaches are different from traditional ICF coaches. The LHB are modern, safe and offer comfortable rides, good suspension and high speed capacity and limit the noise. Made with stainless steel and anti-telescopic features. The LHB coaches minimise the damage during accidents and don’t require much maintenance. ICF coaches are older, bigger and noisier and appropriate for telescoping, making it less comfortable and safe for the passengers.
