Good News! Sri Ramayana Express will Flag off from March 28

It seems that Indian Railways has truly dedicated itself to the Indian mythology. After the successful launching of the third private train Kashi Mahakal Express that run between Indore to Varanasi; it’s the time to launch the esteemed ‘Sri Ramayana Express’ covering the Ramayana circuit route. IRCTC said on Wednesday that “the Railways will run special tourist trains from March 28 for those who wishes to go on pilgrimage to places associated with Lord Rama. This train will travel for 16 nights-17 days. Travelers can visit all the tourist places associated with Lord Rama which is also known as the Ramayana Circuit of India”. The ‘Sri Ramayana Express’ will have 10 coaches with five sleeper class coaches and five 3AC tier coaches.

According to IRCTC, the booking can be completely made on a first-come-first-served basis. Moreover, you can also check “Sri Ramayana Express” train schedule online. A similar tourist train was introduced last year with only sleeper class coaches under the scheme which was a tremendous success. The response of the general public was such that all the available seats were booked in only seven days. The pictures related to Ramayana will be printed outside the coach. During the journey, Indian Railways will play the Bhajan-Kirtan and Hanuman Chalisa associated with Lord Rama within the coach”.

Sri Ramayana Express will Cross the below-mentioned Pilgrimage Sites:

‘Sri Ramayana Express’ will visit:

  • Ram Janmabhoomi and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya
  • Bharat Mandir in Nandigram
  • Sita Mata Temple in Sitamarhi (Bihar), Janakpur (Nepal)
  • Tulsi Manas Temple in Varanasi and Sankat Mochan Temple in Sitamarhi
  • Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj
  • Hanuman Temple and Bhardwaj Ashram, Shringi Rishi Temple in Shringverpur
  • Ramghat and Sati Anusuiya Temple in Chitrakoot, Nasi Include jyotirlinga Shiva temple Anjanadri Hill
  • Rameswaram in Panchavati, Hampi

Fare of Shri Ramayana Express:
Interested tourists can opt for:

  • Sleeper class package at a cost of Rs 16,065 per person, and
  • 3 AC class; Rs 26,775 per person

40 Passengers will go to Sri Lanka by Airplane:
Apart from this, an additional travel scheme has also been launched in Sri Lanka with 40 seats. Passengers going to Sri Lanka will be taken by airplane. The fare for the airplane will be charged separately. The plane to Sri Lanka will fly from Chennai on 11th April. There will be a 3-night stay in Sri Lanka. The package will cost Rs 37,800 per person. Sri Lanka tour packages will offer travelers a chance to visit Sita Mata Temple, Ashok Vatika, Vibhishan Temple and Shiva Temple in Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara, Elia, and Nigambo. Colombo will return to Delhi on 15th April. Booking of this tour package can be done from the IRCTC website. Now, tourists who are passionate about traveling on privileged sites have golden opportunity to explore the Ramayana circuit and to get close with the all land associated with Lord Rama.
