Gatimaan Express train is the first semi-high speed train of India that runs between Delhi and Jhansi. Its maximum operating speed is160 km/h (91 mph). It is presently the fastest train in India. The train takes 265 minutes (4 Hr 25 Min) to cover the 403 km (250 mi) journey between the two Gatimaan express stations, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Jhansi Junction railway stations. On 5 April 2016, the train provided the public with its first service.

Executive Class (EC) and Chair Car (CC) are two gatimaan express classes. The train operates on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The Gatiman Express final chart is usually prepared in Jhansi 3-4 hours before the departure time of the train. Gatimaan Exp has total four stopping station between source and destination stations that are AGRA CANTT (AGC), GWALIOR (GWL), JHANSI JN (JHS) etc.

 

About the Gatimaan Express Train

 

 

The Gatimaan Express has ten coaches painted in grey and blue with a stripe of bright yellow colour in the middle. The coaches have been designed with the deliberation of Research Development and Standard Organization (RDSO). Each coach has one female host and one male host, along with three managers in total. Passengers are amused with welcome flowers and chocolates.

The 12050 GATIMAN EXPRESS train operates on all the six days of the week except Friday. Gatimaan express train no 12050 starts from Hazrat Nizamuddin junction (NZM) at the departure timing of 8:10 & arrives at 12:35 on the same day in Jhansi Junction (JHS). 

 

2. Gatimaan Express Schedule (12049)

 

Gatimaan express train no 12049 run from Jhansi Jn to Hazrat Nizamuddin. It runs on all six days of week excluding Friday. The departure timing from JHS is at 15:05 & arrives NZM junction at 19:30.

The train has two coaches for the Executive AC Chair Car and eight for the AC Chair Car. Gatiman exp does not include a pantry car. As soon as the train begins, a 500 ml water bottle is given. Tea/coffee is offered along with the meal after a couple of minutes. Gatimaan express fare includes food cost offered by onboard catering. However, you can pay for the food separately by excluding the catering charges.
