59 COVID-19 Patients Admitted in Isolation Coaches of Railways at Mau Junction
Uttar Pradesh has become the first state to admit the patients of COVID-19 in the isolation coach of the railway. Isolation coaches prepared from non-AC coaches of the railway have been deployed at Mau station. So far, 59 suspected patients of COVID-19 have been admitted in it.
The assigning of people infected with the coronavirus in the isolation wards in of the coaches prepared by the Railways has started from June 20. Officials said on Monday that 59 suspected patients of coronavirus infection have been admitted in these coaches at Mau station in Uttar Pradesh. He said that eight of these patients have already been discharged. He said that 51 suspected coronavirus patients have been admitted to these non-air-conditioned coaches of the railway prepared as isolation wards. On 20 June, 42 patients were admitted to the isolation ward of Mau, while 17 patients were admitted on 21 June.

372 Isolation coaches of Railways are deployed in Uttar Pradesh
Indian Railways has deployed a total of 960 Covid Care coaches in five states – Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Officials said that in Uttar Pradesh, 372 such coaches have been deployed at 23 places. This includes Lucknow, Varanasi, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Agra, Bhadohi, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Faizabad, Mirzapur, Jhansi, Jhansi Workshop, Nakha Jungle, Subedarganj, Gonda, Bhatni, Nautanwa, Bahraich, Manduadih, Farrukhabad, Varanasi City, Mau, Bareilly City and Kasganj.
Isolation coaches of Railways are equipped with basic daily needs
According to the railways, the corona care centres of the railways are equipped with the basic needs of the patients, including shower, mosquito net, bio-toilet, plugs, oxygen cylinder, and other facilities for bathing. According to news agency PTI, at the Mau railway station, the official told that large size fans have been installed in the coaches. Along with this, proper arrangements have been made for the evacuation of air.
RPF increased the security of Isolation coaches at Mau station
The security of Special Covid Isolation Coach parked on platform number two of the Mau railway junction was further tightened on Monday on the instructions of the railway authorities. In addition to the entryways on platform number two, the platform parallel to the coach has been completely barricaded. At the same time, people kept in quarantine can not move from the ward in the coach or around on the platform – two RPF personnel are constantly monitoring them. RPF is also constantly monitoring the activities of people sitting inwards of these coaches.
Patients getting delicious food in Isolation coach
The quarantined people in the COVID Isolation Coach from the district administration are being given the prescribed diet from morning breakfast to dinner from time to time. People quarantined in coaches explained about the food quality when asked what kind of food you got from the government. On this, Pinki Sahni, a lady from Dubari, told that every meal was good. Rice, lentils, roti, vegetables, tea, snacks are all available. The vegetable is very tasty.
As part of preparations to deal with the COVID-19 epidemic, the Railways has transferred 5,321 non-AC coaches to the COVID Care Center for the care of COVID-19 patients. Railways said that according to NITI Aayog and Health Ministry, Non-AC coaches are more suitable for control of Coronavirus as compared to the AC coaches.
