Railways to Start Shatabdi Garib Rath Trains, Ticket Reservation System Also Changed
The Shatabdi and Garib Rath Express, which had been closed for the last two and a half months amidst the lockdown of the entire country due to Coronavirus, will soon run again.
About 21 trains including Lucknow Shatabdi, Pataliputra, Chandigarh, Jabalpur and Garib Rath will start soon. Lucknow division office has sent its proposal to North Eastern Railway Headquarters Gorakhpur. It is expected that the Railway Board will give its approval on this proposal. The railway has started operating 200 trains from June 1. For this, 120 days advance reservation has been allowed. During the Coronavirus lockdown, Indian Railways is continuously increasing the number of trains. Only passengers with confirmed tickets are allowed to travel on the trains to prevent infection. Also, the Railways have made changes in the reservation ticket form.
Ticket Sales Review Has Started
At present, the railway administration has started its preparations for booking Tatkal tickets. A review of the sale of tickets for special trains has also started. Special trains are to be expanded based on reviews. There is a plan to run all the major express trains leaving from Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Chhapra and Varanasi as specials in the Northeast Railway also.

Railways Have Made Changes in the Reservation System
Railways have made changes in the software associated with the reservation counter (PRS) at the stations. This will help the people coming to the stations for reservation. In the new format, the passenger will have to give his complete address, house number, street colony, and full details of the tehsil.

IRCTC Cancellation and Refund Rules
The cancellation of train ticket and refund of the fare for railway passengers is applicable as per the rules of 2015. Railways do not give you any refund if you do not cancel the ticket on confirmed ticket 4 hours before departure. If you have a confirmed ticket and want to cancel it, then refund will be given only after cancellation of the ticket 4 hours before departure.
Full Refund if the Train is Cancelled
If the train is cancelled due to any reason, according to the rules, you get a full refund on the railway ticket. You can take a refund within three days from the departure time of the train.
