Sawan 2026 Special Trains Announced to Ease Pilgrim Rush

Indian Railways has announced 12 Sawan special trains for pilgrim rush. Sawan 2026 special trains will bring relief for pilgrims with better travel facilities to reach different pilgrimage centers in India.

The special train services will help devotees to reach preferred pilgrimage places by offering better facilities and seat availability. Kanwariyas can get the ticket to reach Baba Baidyanath Temple and other holy places.

12 Sawan Special Trains Connecting Cities to Jyotirling Shrines

Shravan special trains are announced from Indian Railways amid booking rush to visit pilgrimage places. Devotees can use these services with multiple options to visit the famous Jyotirling shrines.

Among multiple trains, Jaynagar-Asansol special train for Sawan 2026 will operate throughout the Sawan helping devotees in a comfortable journey. However, passengers must check the train schedule to find the arrival/deaprture date and its running days.

What is Kanwar Yatra Train Journey?

Kanwar Yatra is a Hindu pilgrimage journey dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees prefer to visit the Jyotirlinga shrines to present their devotion. Many kanwariyas travel by train to reach the major water collection sites Gaumukh, Haridwar, Gangotri, and Sultanganj.

Devotees coming from different corners of the country prefer the train journey to save time and complete their devotion. During the journey, devotees walk hundreds of kilometers with saffron-colored dresses carrying water pots connected with bamboo on their shoulders.

This Sawan 2026 special train will start from 31 July and run between Jaynagar and Asansol Jn.

Raxaul-Deoghar Special (05545)

Devotees can use this train from 31 July 2026 to 30 August 2026. It will connect cities with larger devotees and reduce the rush at railway stations.

Barhni-Deoghar Unreserved Special (05029 / 05028)

This Sawan special train is particularly designed for devotees looking for affordable options to reach out to the pilgrimage places.

Prayagraj Jn-Veraval Weekly Special (04173 / 04174)

This special train will provide relief for devotees looking to reach the Somnath pilgrimage place.

Subedarganj-Indore Special (04169 / 04170)

Pilgrims can use this service to reach out the Ujjain for Mahakaleshwar visit.
